THE MIDDLE LAND

Why Visit Spiti Valley?

🏔️

The "Middle Land"

Located between Tibet and India, Spiti offers a raw, untouched Himalayan landscape filled with barren valleys, rugged terrains, and crystal-clear high-altitude lakes.

🛕

Ancient Culture

Step back in time by visiting 1000-year-old monasteries like Tabo, Dhankar, and Key. Experience the authentic and peaceful Tibetan-Buddhist way of life.

🌌

Unmatched Stargazing

With high altitude, zero light pollution, and crisp clear skies, Spiti Valley is a paradise for night-sky lovers and astrophotographers looking to capture the Milky Way.

Best Time to Visit

☀️ Summer (Mid-May to Mid-Oct)

Ideal for: Full Circuit, Manali Route & Chandratal

This is the best and most accessible time to visit. The snow clears up, making the Atal Tunnel and Kunzum Pass routes accessible. The weather is highly pleasant, and high-altitude camping is open.

❄️ Winter (Nov to April)

Ideal for: Snow Landscapes & Snow Leopard Expeditions

Spiti transforms into a frozen white wonderland. Note: The Manali to Kaza road completely closes due to heavy snow. Winter access is only possible via the much longer Shimla-Kinnaur route.
